Press Release privind lansarea campaniei de informare „AMBASADOR DE ROMÂNIA EUROPEANĂ” (25 aprilie 2014)
    regarding the launching of the information campaign “AMBASADOR DE ROMÂNIA EUROPEANĂ“.   The Permanent Electoral Authority (PEA) launched, Thursday, April 24, 2014, the information campaign “AMBASADOR DE ROMÂNIA EUROPEANĂ“. ambasador1The event was held at the Central University Library "Carol I", in Bucharest, in the presence of their Excellences, the Ambassadors of Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic and Slovak Republic and other Romanian officials. During the event there were presented for the first time the information video and video testimonials with the ambassadors mentioned above and also with Ambassadors of Netherlands and Austria. "It is an unique campaign because beside the informational and educational goals, we managed to bring together representatives of the EU member states in order to support the importance of exercising the right to vote and of the society involvement in decision making process. AMBASADOR DE ROMÂNIA EUROPEANĂ" belongs to every Romanian. We need to understand that Europe represents both reality and freedom, freedom of communication, of movement, of economy. We are European citizens and we have the opportunity to decide, through the European Parliament, the members of the European Commission. It is a right but also a responsibility!”, stated Mrs. Ana Maria Pătru, the President of the Permanent Electoral Authority. ambasador2The Minister of National Education, Mr. Remus Pricopie, invited also to the launch event, welcomed the PEA initiative and he stated that he will encourage the distribution of the video on social platforms. “Congratulations for your endeavor. It will be on Facebook, obviously, and I will ask the students, to put on Facebook this very beautiful video, “stated the Minister of National Education, Mr. Remus Pricopie. The Permanent Electoral Authority organized an award ceremony for the Ambassadors who were actively involved in this campaign. Mrs. Ana Maria Pătru awarded their excellences with “AMBASADOR DE ROMÂNIA EUROPEANĂ” diplomas. The information campaign conducted by the PEA aims to inform the citizens not only about the manner that the European Parliament works, about its importance for the European Union, but also about the right and the responsibility for each Romanian to choose by whom is represented. Informing and educating voters in Romania represents one of the main goals of the Permanent Electoral Authority.
