Regarding the documentation visit of the representatives of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova

  Between December 8 and December 14, 2013, a delegation of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova carried out a documentation visit to the Permanent Electoral Authority headquarters. The discussions were focused on presenting the Romanian experience in the field of financing the political parties, emphasizing: the financing the activities of the political parties and the political campaigns in Romania, the subsidies granted to the political parties, contraventions and sanctions, the recommendations of the Group of States Against Corruption (GRECO) and their implementation, the promotion of political representation of women through political financing, but also the current status of the reforms in the electoral field in the Republic of Moldova. The representatives of the Permanent Electoral Authority and of the Central Electoral Commission discussed also the possibilities of drafting and implementing some common projects aimed to improve the practices regarding the organisation of free and fair elections. Taking into consideration the fact that Romania is interested to support the democratic reforms of the Republic of Moldova and the reforms concerning the conduct of the future elections in democratic and transparent conditions, the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania has considered appropriate to provide electoral assistance to the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova. This documentation visit is part of a series of activities stated in the Partnership Agreement between the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania and the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova, signed in Chişinău in June 28, 2013.
