Press releases Privind vizita pe care o echipă de experți din cadrul Autorității Electorale Permanente a efectuat-o în perioada 18-22 noiembrie 2013 la Comisia Electorală Centrală a Republicii Moldova.
Between November 18 and November 22, 2013, a PEA delegation carried out a working visit to the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova. The delegation of the Permanent Electoral Authority included Mr. Cristian PETRARU, the Head of the Department of Organising the electoral processes, Mr. Daniel DUȚĂ, Director of the Management, monitoring and electoral logistics department and Mr. Gabriel SAUCĂ, the Director of the IT department. The working visit represented a good opportunity for the exchange of experience in order to improve the practices and the basic electoral norms. The representatives of the Permanent Electoral Authority presented the Romanian experience in the electoral field, especially regarding:
  • The voters registration, the delimitation of polling stations and the voters assignation;
  • The electoral logistics and management tools of electoral processes;
  • The electronic management of  electoral processes;
  • The selection and training of the election officials.
The PEA took note on the CEC Moldova electoral specific concerning:
  • The implementation of the State Registry of voters;
  • The increase of transparency and trust in the electoral authorities and the electoral processes;
  • The new informational technologies used during elections;
  • The financing of the political parties.
The representatives of Permanent Electoral Authority met Mr. Iurie Ciocan PhD, the President of the Central Electoral Commission, with Mr. Andrei Volentir, CEC General Secretary, and also with the employees of CEC Moldova. The event was funded by the “Mobility fund for government experts” through the “Official Development Assistance” programme, coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and supported by the United Nations Development Programme. The context of the working visit was based on the Permanent Electoral Authority plans to become the regional provider of expertise in the electoral field. The working visit also underlines the reliable partnership between the PEA Romania and the CEC of Moldova. We are pleased to remind that on June 28, 2013, the President of the Permanent Electoral Authority, Mrs. Ana Maria Pătru and Mr. Iurie Ciocan PhD, the President of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova, signed a Partnership Agreement between the two institutions with electoral responsibilities. The document states the exchange of experience in order to improve the practice and the legislation in the electoral field.
